Here are some of the scenarios where we have been able to
make a difference to the overall health of the business
 | Newsagent and convenience store (incorporating
a sub post office) - a typical 'receipts in a carrier bag, missing
chequebook and oh it's three days before I need to file my VAT return'
case. After an initial rush to get him up to date we made
regular monthly visits to the shop to collect paperwork processing and
filing it back at our office and we were able to file future returns
promptly. |
 | Building Materials Provider - This business
used a good software accounts package but did not fully understand how
to operate it and therefore acquired a number of ongoing glitches.
We made a complete overhaul of the system, provided training to staff
and changed some of the processing procedures. The system
started working for them and with a quarterly visit to check for
errors and oversee the VAT return the business was able to function
better with a clear idea of its finances. |
 | Biochemical Industry Retailer - a turnover in staff left
this business struggling to reconcile its accounts as part-trained
workers had made some eccentric entries on the accounts package.
Whilst maintaining the ongoing accounts properly a regular amount of
time was spent each week delving back into the tangle of data
and correcting the entries. Ultimately this company was able to
recoup their bookkeeping fees as their accountants were satisfied that the properly organised accounts did not
require a half-year audit. A huge saving on time and money. |
 | Insurance Broker - this business started at
more or less the same time as Panda Clerks and both businesses have
grown and developed together. The accounts system has evolved
from basic spreadsheet reporting to a proper accountancy package as the
scale of the transactions has increased. |
 | Stationery Retailer - having reached the end of
their financial year this company realised that they had set their
software on the wrong dates for their accounts. We were able to
work our way through the accounts package in order to retrieve the
situation without having to re-input all the information by hand |
